Education

We partner with the best possible training providers, ones that focus on quality and mission, to provide you with the skills you need to enter the workforce in a variety of job roles. We align the content from our partners to pathways in IT and Cyber to inform you on the skills they need to succeed in the military transition and become gainfully employed in the industry.

When you join, you will start with our orientation course and learn about the various career options available, both in Information Technology and in Cybersecurity. After you’re introduced to our other benefits, like our resume assistance and our mentorship program, you will have the opportunity to pick a pathway, where we have curated training from our various providers aligned to the role of your choice.

Our training providers include partners like Google, Coursera, the SANS Institute, and more.

The best part about it – our fellow members, mentors, and staff are with all of you every step of the way.

Community

At the heart of VetSec is our community. When you join VetSec, you’re joining a network of over 7,000 people who have all been in your shoes. Not only have they served, they’ve all navigated the military transition and have lessons to share. Additionally, there’s channels in our platform on every topic, ranging from how to navigate your VA disability and benefits to a myriad of technical topics. If you have a question about the military, IT, or cyber, you’ll find your answer.

But that’s not all you’ll find. In VetSec, you’ll find a family and a home. Too many times we hear the stories of the loss of camaraderie when a military members tells their unit they’re separating. They’re caught in this limbo, one foot in the service, one foot in the civilian world, not really feeling like they’re a part of either. Here you will find a bridge to provide you stable footing and support as you take those steps.

Finally, every year we hold VetSecCon, our fall all-virtual conference where we invite the industry to speak. This is our biggest single networking event and annual fundraiser, with talks about the career transition, technical topics, and more.
